We are looking for ideas that improve the safety, efficiency, or tools used by linemen. That could include a new product, a process improvement, or a modification to existing equipment.
It depends. Utility Solutions is built on fair and equitable partnerships with linemen. Submissions are voluntary, but if we choose to pursue your invention, we will work together toward a mutually beneficial arrangement. Yes. There is no limit to how many ideas you can submit.
No. Many people inside and outside Utility Solutions may need to be aware of the idea in order to evaluate or develop it. Protecting your idea or intellectual property before submission, such as by filing a provisional or non-provisional patent application, is strongly recommended.
We recommend protecting your idea to the best of your ability before submitting, though it is not required. Some linemen come to us with patented or patent-pending ideas, and others do not.
No. We are not able to help you file a patent. We recommend meeting with a professional advisor of your own choice.
